How Does Reveal Work?

Once you’ve created your drop on NFT Pump, you can reveal it to your NFT holders at any time. We recommend waiting until the minting process has progressed before revealing. To start, simply upload your final artwork and, optionally, add your collection’s metadata. An on-chain transaction will then be required to complete the reveal process. All media files will be shuffled and named automatically, ensuring fairness for holders and streamlining the process.

When to Reveal?

If you expect your drop to sell out, it’s best to wait until it does before revealing. This approach ensures every buyer has an equal opportunity to receive an NFT prior to the reveal. If the drop isn’t selling out, revealing your collection can help re-energize the market. Ideally, we recommend waiting at least a day after launching your drop before initiating the reveal.

Reveal Guide

1. Go to the [Reveal Collection] Page

Find the Reveal Collection button on your collection detail page in NFT Pump, and click it.

2. Select Your NFT Media Files

Click the [Select Media Files] button and choose your media files.

The number of assets must match the quantity specified during drop creation. Supported file formats include JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP (maximum size: 10 MB), and MP4 (maximum size: 120 MB), with a total upload limit of 1 GB. File names may contain letters, numbers, spaces, underscores (‘_’), and hyphens (‘-’) and must not exceed 32 characters.

3. Select Custom Metadata CSV File (Optional)

Adding metadata is optional. Custom metadata allows you to set additional attributes for your NFTs. Once your metadata CSV file is ready, click Select Metadata to upload it.

In the CSV file, each row represents an NFT. The first three column headers — name, description, and image — are required and must be included:

Name: The name of your NFT, limited to 32 characters. This field can be left empty, in which case it will default to “collection name #tokenID.” If only some entries are filled, empty entries will default to the collection name without “#tokenID.” If all names are identical, “#tokenID” will be appended to each.
Description: A description of your NFT, limited to 256 characters. This field can be left empty, in which case it will default to the collection’s description.
Image: Specifies the media file associated with each NFT. This field is mandatory and cannot be left empty.

All other columns (e.g., color, level, background, texture) represent attributes for the NFT. You may add up to 50 attributes, each supporting up to 200 unique values. Attribute names and values must not exceed 32 characters.

4. Upload

Click Upload to start the process. Upload time will vary depending on the size of your media files and network conditions.

After the upload is complete, three media files and their corresponding NFT attributes will appear on the right side of the page for final review.

5. Submit and Sign

Once everything is ready, click Submit and sign the transaction to complete the reveal. NFT data updates may take between 10 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the collection.
